TONSILLECTOMY
An operation done under general anesthesia. It lasts for about half an hour.
Indications for tonsillectomy are frequent recurrences of purulent tonsillitis (at least 2-3 incidents per year), peritonsillar abscess, streptococcus infection.
The operation is done by laser but what really reduces post-operative pain is the dexterity and careful handling of tissue with smooth motions.
After surgery, the patient speaks normally and we propose soft and cold food for one week.
